RemoteDroid is a free app for your Android that will allow you to control your Mac or PC remotely.
Using RemoteDroid takes a little bit of configuration, but it's really nothing too challenging. Install the app on your phone and download the server for your PC or Mac. Take your wireless IP address from the window that will pop up, and input it into your Android. Before you know it, you'll be using your mobile device as a wireless keyboard and mouse.
Handling RemoteDroid might to take a few minutes to get used to, but the instructions are clearly displayed in the window that opens when you launch the RemoteDroid desktop application. There are very few configuration options - mainly whether to enable or disable trackball and double tapping - but if you do run into trouble, there's good help on the RemoteDroid website.
Using RemoteDroid to control your PC isn't as messy as it might seem. The controls are smooth, and even in the confined space of your Android screen it's easy to carry out all of your normal tasks. As a user in the Android Market pointed out, using RemoteDroid means you'll never have to get up to your computer to change episodes when streaming your favorite series to your TV again - even though we can think of some more productive uses too!
RemoteDroid is a great app - for remote control of your PC or Mac, you really couldn't ask for more
